Art of the Month: D-I-Y Project: Eco-Chic Coinbanks in Tin Cans



In this world, life is getting easy-money for luxury, but not all of these but we prioritize money to primary needs in life and fortune. So, let's save the piggy banks from hammer and use it in tin cans as alternative one for extra-savings.

MATERIALS:

  • Tin cans (Sizes of your choice)
  • Gift Wrapper or Old Glossy Magazines
  • Marker
  • Scissor*
  • Tape
  • Hammer* (and)
  • Chisel*
*Use it with adult supervision

PROCEDURES:

  • To make-sure the inside of tin cans clean (e.g., milk, juice, etc.) soak it with water and let it dry inside.
  • Using with marker, make a propose mark in a top of tin can in a 1 inch hole for a coin slot.
  • To make a coin slot of a tin can bank, hammer it with chisel to make coin slot hole.
  • Once you done, decorate the tin can bank body with happy-colored wrapper or old magazine page and let it cover and secure it with tape.
  • For finishing touches, please label up your tin can banks with your desired savings plan or your funds (e.g., travel, gadgets, etc.)
